Bleach On Granite Stain

Depending on how long you plan to stay in your rental the bleach stain may fade after time as the granite absorbs other things through countertop use.

However i do know many people who use bleach on their sealed granite worktops and don t have a problem. 1 stains can be damage to the sealant only as with acid stains. I too thought i would have to have them replaced. The three most common types of stains on granite tombstones are water based stains mold and mildew stains and rust stains.

The acids contained in these cleaners will degrade the sealant and can leave unsightly stains on. For bleach stains first clean the area with plain water thoroughly to remove the bleach residue. This is what i did. Yes clorox regular bleach 2 is safe for sealed granite countertops.

The bleach stain is not permanent. It s better to remember that you should never use neat bleach on any surface and it should always be rinsed after use.

Remember bleach should never be used full strength for cleaning any surface it should always be diluted with water first. Apply the bleach solution and let stand for. So it wouldn t look so obvious. Can you put bleach on granite stains.

Then there are three ways the bleach could have stained the granite. The area was a dull black as opposed to the rest of the countertop. Sealing your granite counters regularly prevents stains and damage from stain treating products like bleach. However do not worry. For disinfecting countertops use a solution of 1 2 cup clorox regular bleach 2 per gallon of water. Bleach can be used to clean granite but if the corrosive liquid is allowed to sit too long on the material it can eat through the protective layer of sealant. I prefer to not use bleach on granite as some countertops are not well sealed.
