Apply enough to cover the stain and allow it to soak down about half an inch. It will bring the particles of ink up. Once the alcohol has soaked for a minute take a clean rag and begin blotting more ink from the stain. To remove ink from carpet wet a clean cloth with rubbing alcohol and gently blot the stain.

Blot everything and repeat the procedure again.
